The short version: We collect your name and email to keep you updated about Roamista's launch. We never sell your data, never spam you and you can unsubscribe any time. That's it.

Who We Are

Roamista is a women-only safety app for real-life meetups, currently in pre-launch. Our website is roamista.app and you can reach us at hello@roamista.app.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information when you join our waitlist.

What We Collect

When you join the Roamista waitlist, we collect:

That's all. We don't collect your location, payment information, device data or any other personal information at this stage.

How We Use Your Data

We use your name and email to:

We will never sell this information or use it to build an advertising profile of you. Separately, we use Meta Pixel for general ad measurement — see "Cookies & Advertising" below for exactly what that does and doesn't include.

We Never Sell Your Data

Your personal information is never sold or rented to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We work with a small number of service providers who help us run Roamista:

None of these providers can use your information for their own purposes outside of the service they provide us. That said, some privacy laws (like the CCPA) define "sharing" broadly enough that sending technical data to Meta Pixel for ad measurement may count as "sharing" even though no money changes hands and no money is paid for it. We explain exactly what that involves below, and how to opt out.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

We will respond to any data request within 30 days.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Our website is hosted and protected by Cloudflare, uses HTTPS encryption, and your email data is stored securely through Kit's platform.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we do everything reasonably possible to protect your personal data.

Cookies & Advertising

We use Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) on our waitlist page to measure how our ads are performing — basically, to see whether the people who click our ads end up joining the waitlist.

Through Meta Pixel, Meta may receive technical information like your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and whether you completed the waitlist signup. Here's exactly when that happens:

Importantly, we do not send your name, email address, city preference, or any other waitlist form field to Meta through the Pixel. Meta only sees the technical signals above, not the actual information you typed into our form.

You can control how Meta uses this data through your Facebook Ad Preferences, by adjusting cookie settings in your browser, or by emailing hello@roamista.app with "Do Not Share" in the subject line.

If we begin specifically targeting visitors in the EU or UK with advertising, we will add a cookie consent banner or similar consent tool before loading marketing cookies, where required by law. Aside from Meta Pixel, our waitlist page does not currently use additional tracking cookies or analytics tools. We'll update this policy if that changes.

Changes To This Policy

If we make significant changes to this Privacy Policy we will notify waitlist members by email before the changes take effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent update.

Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws applicable to Roamista's place of operation, unless another jurisdiction's privacy or consumer protection laws apply.
